When I began my journey into graphic design, I was unable to draw. I was able to complete rough sketches if pressed, but it ultimately frustrated me that I was unable to successfully communicate through sketch. Instead of letting this fault continue to frustrate me, I began to challenge myself to draw something once a  day. I derived inspiration from other artists that I admire and slowly began to develop my own unique style. These are a sample of some of my favorite sketches. Some are based on real people, while others evolved as I put pen to paper. Bringing these characters to life has taught me to draw, sketch, and continue to put that pen to paper and create. They are truly representative of both my passion for design and my desire to push my skill set in new and interesting directions.
