Long a metaphor for truth and honesty, George Washington’s cherry tree actually has a story that runs deeper than the most commonly-known version. In fact, the truth of the story about honesty is that it never happened. At least, not in the way it’s been told all these years. But you’d only know that if you keep digging at the widely-accepted version to uncover the real truth, and that’s what we do here. Plus, we’re big fans of irony.
